Pentagon Releases Second Batch of Declassified UFO Documents; Reports Detail “Green Orbs, Flying Saucers, and Fiery Spheres”

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) released the second batch of previously classified documents on unidentified aerial phenomena on Friday.

Kabul 24: The files contain numerous reports of sightings involving “green orbs,” “flying saucers,” and “unknown fiery spheres,” which have long fueled widespread speculation and public debate.

This release continues the U.S. government’s efforts toward greater transparency regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). The first set of documents was declassified and published on May 8 (April 19 in the Persian calendar) under an order from President Donald Trump.

Trump is the latest American president to make government reports on unidentified flying objects public, a process that began in the late 1970s.In an official statement, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth noted that these documents, images, and videos—officially titled “Anomalous Unidentified Phenomena”—have been the subject of intense speculation for years.

He emphasized: “It is time for the American people to see these materials for themselves.”Among the 222 cases released on Friday, one of the most significant files consists of 116 pages detailing a series of sightings and investigations conducted at a highly classified facility in Sandia, New Mexico, between 1948 and 1950.

According to the Pentagon, this dossier includes 209 separate reports of green orbs, flying saucers, and fiery spheres observed near a military base.

Experts have pointed out that the first batch of documents mainly featured new videos of previously reported incidents. However, they contained no conclusive evidence of extraterrestrial technology or alien life.

The release comes amid growing public interest in UFOs and UAPs. Over the past several years, demand for greater government transparency on this topic has increased significantly.

Many analysts believe these declassifications help reduce conspiracy theories while providing credible, documented information to the public and researchers.

The documents shed light on historical observations and technical investigations spanning several decades. By making these files available, the Pentagon aims to foster informed discussion based on factual records rather than speculation.

This latest transparency initiative reflects a broader shift in how the U.S. government handles long-sensitive information related to unexplained aerial activity.

As more files are expected to be released in the coming months, both the media and scientific communities anticipate gaining deeper insight into one of the most enduring mysteries of the modern era.
