Pakistani media reported that 59,561 Afghan refugees have returned to their country from Pakistan.<\/h4>\n

Kabul 24<\/strong><\/a>: Radio Pakistan stated on Sunday, October 22, that these individuals returned to Afghanistan following the one-month deadline set by the Pakistani government for the exit of illegal immigrants from the country.<\/p>\n

The report indicated, \u201cThis development will have a positive impact on the region.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Radio Pakistan, the Afghan Commissionerate for Refugees facilitated suitable arrangements to assist the return<\/a> of its citizens.<\/p>\n

The Pakistani government has instructed all asylum seekers without \u201clegal residency\u201d documents, estimated to be 1.7 million individuals, to leave the country by November of this year.<\/p>\n

However, in a joint statement, Richard Bente, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in Afghanistan, Felipe Gonzalez Morales, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants, and Reem Al Salem, the UN Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Children, stated that the forced return of Afghans to Afghanistan would expose them to irreparable harm.<\/p>\n

The Taliban also deemed Pakistan\u2019s decision as \u201cunacceptable\u201d and called for a reconsideration in that country.<\/p>\n
