Calls for Assistance<\/h6>\n

Kabul 24<\/strong><\/a>: Residents of Faryab are calling on the Islamic Emirate and aid organizations to provide basic reconstruction, as well as desks, chairs, and safe drinking water for the affected schools. The Director of Education for Faryab has appealed to the central government, aid organizations, traders, and philanthropists to assist in the reconstruction efforts.<\/p>\n

Examples of Damaged Schools<\/h5>\n

One example of a damaged school is the central high school in Dawlatabad district, which is in need of repairs. In total, 200 schools in Faryab have been affected and require reconstruction.<\/p>\n

Progress in Faryab’s Education<\/h5>\n

Despite the challenges, Faryab has seen significant progress in education in recent years. Over 120 new schools have been built in the province with Norwegian development assistance, and 40-50 more are planned<\/a> for the next two years.
