Kabul 24<\/strong><\/a>: The National Police Chiefs’ Council reported 1,024 arrests, with 575 charged. Among those detained is a 69-year-old for vandalism and a 13-year-old girl for violent disorder. Prosecutors highlighted the distress caused by such young involvement in the chaos.<\/p>\n

Background of the Riots<\/h6>\n

The unrest began on July 30, 2024, after false claims about the attack’s perpetrator circulated online. Rioters targeted police, mosques, and businesses, leading to injuries among officers and civilians. The violence spread from Southport to major cities, including London and Manchester, marking the worst riots since 2011.<\/p>\n
