Kabul 24<\/a>: He stated, \u201cWe advocate for good relations with all nations, including the U.S. Our relations should be based on diplomacy and trade.<\/p>\n

We have maintained contact in these areas and encouraged the U.S. to engage in such cooperation.\u201dMujahid\u2019s remarks come in response to recent comments by U.S. President Donald Trump about the Bagram Airbase.<\/p>\n

The spokesperson urged the U.S. to reopen its embassy in Kabul<\/a> instead of focusing on the airbase. He said, \u201cThe U.S. sometimes mentions Bagram or other issues.<\/p>\n

We have told them to activate their embassy in Kabul instead of Bagram, fostering legitimate and proper relations between Afghanistan and the U.S. through this diplomatic channel.\u201d Mujahid noted that discussions on this matter are ongoing, and the Islamic Emirate awaits the U.S. response.<\/p>\n

This push for economic and diplomatic relations follows statements from the U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor, who acknowledged that Afghanistan\u2019s current leadership has shown partial cooperation in counterterrorism efforts.<\/p>\n

The Islamic Emirate\u2019s emphasis on diplomacy and trade reflects its intent to build formal and stable ties with the international community, particularly the U.S. However, the reopening of the U.S. embassy in Kabul and Washington\u2019s response to this proposal could be pivotal in shaping future bilateral relations.<\/p>\n
