Kabul 24<\/a>: This escalation targets the main revenue source of President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro’s government amid ongoing tensions.In his post, Trump stated: “Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled in the History of South America.<\/p>\n

It will only get bigger… For the theft of our Assets, and many other reasons, including Terrorism, Drug Smuggling, and Human Trafficking, the Venezuelan Regime has been designated a FOREIGN TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.<\/p>\n

Therefore, today, I am ordering A TOTAL AND COMPLETE BLOCKADE OF ALL SANCTIONED OIL TANKERS going into, and out of, Venezuela.”The order follows the U.S. seizure of a sanctioned oil tanker, the Skipper, off Venezuela’s coast last week, which was carrying millions of barrels of crude.<\/p>\n
