The Economic Deputy of the Prime Minister\u2019s Office has announced that 12 important and strategic projects across various sectors including energy, infrastructure, irrigation, health, religious affairs, and transportation were approved in the recent meeting of the Economic Commission.<\/h6>\n

Kabul 24<\/a>: The projects have been assigned to the relevant departments for implementation.According to the deputy, a significant portion of these initiatives focuses on the energy and electricity sector.<\/p>\n

Key projects include the transfer of imported electricity to Paktika province, construction of a double-circuit transmission line from Ghazni, completion of remaining substation works, and expansion of the power distribution network in different regions.<\/p>\n

Other major electricity projects involve extending power lines from the Noor al-Jihad substation to the provinces of Herat, Farah, and Nimroz.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the projects include supplying electricity to Syedan village in Greshk district of Helmand province and further development of power networks in other provinces.<\/p>\n

These initiatives are expected to significantly improve access to stable and reliable electricity across multiple regions.In the infrastructure sector, two important power supply projects for Paktika were approved: connecting electricity from the Eastern Kandahar Substation to the new Trikot center, and the power supply project from Kajaki Dam to New Trikot.<\/p>\n

These efforts aim to substantially enhance electricity access for residents of Paktika province.Beyond energy, several other vital projects were endorsed. In the agriculture and irrigation sector, important irrigation projects in Faryab province were approved.<\/p>\n

These projects seek to boost agricultural production and improve farmers\u2019 livelihoods.In the health sector, the activation and capacity upgrade of the 350-bed Aino Mina Hospital in Kandahar was approved.<\/p>\n

This project will provide quality medical services to thousands of people in southern Afghanistan.Among notable cultural and religious projects is the construction of a Grand Mosque with a capacity of 40,000 worshippers in the center of Nimroz province.<\/p>\n

This landmark structure will serve as a major religious and social hub in western Afghanistan.In the transportation and railway sector, the development and expansion of the Torghundi\u2013Herat<\/a> and Andkhoy\u2013Sheberghan\u2013Mazar-i-Sharif railway lines were approved.<\/p>\n

These railway projects are expected to play a crucial role in facilitating trade, goods transit, and better connectivity between northern and western regions of the country.<\/p>\n

These 12 projects form part of the government\u2019s broader efforts to strengthen infrastructure, create employment opportunities, improve access to basic services, and promote balanced development across Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

Successful implementation of these initiatives is anticipated to have a positive impact on the daily lives of citizens and mark a significant step toward economic self-reliance and national progress.<\/p>\n
