KABUL, \u2014 From August 11 to August 16 (20 to 25 Asad), the capital city will host an unprecedented milestone in the country’s agro-economic sector.<\/h5>\n

Kabul 24<\/a>: For the very first time, Afghanistan\u2019s International Agricultural and Livestock Exhibition will kick off in Kabul, designed to showcase local achievements, market domestic products, and attract substantial foreign and local investments.<\/p>\n

This six-day event aims to provide a modern platform to elevate the status of Afghan farmers and agro-industrialists in regional markets.<\/p>\n

According to the organizers, the exhibition features 500 dedicated booths and has already met with overwhelming interest.<\/p>\n

Khan Mohammad Forotan, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Agriculture and Livestock, highlighted the enthusiastic participation of the private sector, noting that all available booths have been completely booked by local agricultural enterprises and industrial companies.<\/p>\n

In addition to hundreds of domestic producers, prominent merchants and corporations from Uzbekistan, Russia, Iran, Turkey, and India are attending to display their latest technologies, modern machinery, and specialized services.<\/p>\n

Officials from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce view this exhibition as a strategic gateway to forge direct links between domestic producers and international buyers.<\/p>\n

Mohammad Yaqoob Javid, head of exhibition organization at the ministry, emphasized that the event serves as an ideal hub for exchanging scientific expertise, expanding trade networks<\/a>, and encouraging foreign investment in Afghanistan’s agricultural infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Authorities believe that revitalizing this sector will directly reduce reliance on imports and boost the overall income of rural farming communities.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock called on citizens to support goods made in Afghanistan, describing the event as a vital step toward nationwide self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n

Abdul Ali Omari, head of planning and coordination at the ministry, pointed to the current stable environment, stating that contemporary conditions offer an unprecedented opportunity for local farmers and traders\u2014one unseen in the past fifty years.<\/p>\n
