Mirwais Azizi, founder and chairman of Azizi Group, announced that he has initiated official discussions with top executives of major Chinese companies during his visit to China, aiming to expand energy sector collaboration between Afghanistan and China.<\/h6>\n

Kabul 24<\/a>: According to Azizi, the primary objective of these engagements is to pave the way for constructing thermal power plants utilizing coal resources in Baghlan province.<\/p>\n

He noted that on the first day of the visit, the Azizi Group delegation met with senior executives of Run Power in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province.<\/p>\n

Run Power is a specialized Chinese enterprise known for power engineering and executing major energy projects internationally.<\/p>\n

The Azizi Group chairman stated that the meeting centered on finalizing a partnership agreement between “Azizi Energy” and Run Power for the design, engineering, and construction of coal-fired power plants in Baghlan.<\/p>\n

This project forms part of a broader national plan to generate 10,000 megawatts of electricity across Afghanistan, with Baghlan slated to produce 1,000 megawatts.<\/p>\n

Azizi emphasized that the delegation\u2019s itinerary will continue over the coming days, featuring meetings with several other leading Chinese companies across various cities.<\/p>\n

These upcoming sessions will explore investment opportunities and joint efforts in renewable energy\u2014including solar and wind power\u2014alongside coal-based energy development.<\/p>\n
