The Afghanistan Ministry of Justice announced that the process of reclaiming land identified as “confiscated” or “state property” is being conducted strictly according to legal and religious decrees, emphasizing that the drive does not target any specific ethnic or religious group among current occupants.<\/h6>\n

Kabul 24<\/a>: According to an official statement released on Tuesday (August 11), Abdul Hakim Shar’i, the Taliban’s Minister of Justice, outlined these positions during a meeting with representatives of charitable organizations in Kabul.<\/p>\n

Shar’i stressed that enforcing judicial rulings regarding state property is a non-negotiable mandate for the government.<\/p>\n

Elaborating on the operations of the land clearance committee, the Minister stated: “Executing the rulings of the special court regarding expropriated state land is a religious and legal obligation for the Commission to Prevent Land Grabbing and Reclaim Stolen Lands.” He added that the commission is bound to restore public property to the state treasury without considering the ethnic or sectarian background of the current landholders.<\/p>\n

The senior judicial official\u2019s remarks come amidst growing sensitivities and public concerns regarding ongoing property inspections and land reclamation procedures across the country.<\/p>\n

While several current landholders have raised concerns over the evaluation of their ownership deeds, government authorities maintain that decisions are strictly based<\/a> on valid legal documents and registered land records.<\/p>\n

Over the past two years, the Commission to Prevent Land Grabbing has identified and reclaimed hundreds of thousands of acres of land across various provinces as state-owned property.<\/p>\n
