This intense friction escalated after an explosive drone was discovered on August 4 in close proximity to a Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig Airport in eastern Germany<\/a>. According to security reports, a malfunction in the drone’s detonation mechanism prevented a catastrophic explosion at this crucial logistics hub.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the operation was far more extensive, as a second drone is suspected to have struck another cargo aircraft nearby.
