He reaffirmed the ministry&#8217;s commitment to sustainable water resource management and the provision of clean drinking water. Furthermore, the Minister announced that implementation plans for additional major water projects are underway, including the inauguration of the Shatoot (Lalander) Dam and the expansion of the Dahla Dam in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Akhundzada noted that all technical, social, and economic impact assessments, alongside full engineering surveys and design work, will be completed within 18 months. The entire preparatory phase is fully funded through the domestic budget of the Islamic Emirate. Attending the ceremony, the Governor of <a href=\"https:\/\/kabul-24.com\/en\/migration-and-trade-diplomacy-key-focus-of-high-level-talks-between-islamic-emirate-and-ankara-in-kabul\/\">Kabul<\/a> expressed confidence that the project&#8217;s completion will mitigate a significant portion of the capital\u2019s ongoing water crisis.<\/p>\n<p>According to official data presented at the event, once fully operational, the project will transport 126 million cubic meters of fresh water annually from the Sayyad region to Kabul.
