Taliban Police Kill Rickshaw Driver at Checkpoint in Kandahar

A disturbing incident occurred in the morning of Wednesday, June 14th, in the 11th district of Kandahar city, Ainu Mina town. According to sources, a cargo rickshaw driver from Zaranj passed a checkpoint without stopping. In response, a Taliban police officer opened fire on him, causing him injuries.

Taliban security officials confirmed the incident and stated that the assailant is under investigation. However, this is not the first case of police brutality by Taliban forces in Kandahar.
