The construction of more than two thousand houses has started in the earthquake affected areas of Herat

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid says that the construction of 2,146 houses has started in the earthquake-affected areas of Herat.

Kabul24: Mr. Mujahid wrote in X last night (Tuesday, 25 Mizan): “These houses are considered as a benchmark and settlement for the victims of the Herat earthquake in Siah Ab village of Zindajan district.”

He added that “we are trying to complete this town before winter arrives and put it into operation”.

According to the latest report of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA), more than 3,330 houses have been destroyed in recent earthquakes in Herat.

This institution has said that these earthquakes had a direct impact on the lives of 43,400 people.

Earlier, Doctors Without Borders announced that 2,445 people were killed and 2,440 others were injured in these earthquakes.
