Bennett Urges Pakistan to Halt the Deportation of Afghan Refugees

Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Afghanistan, has once again called on the Pakistani government to cease the expulsion of Afghan migrants and refugees.

Kabul 24: On Tuesday night, October 31st, Bennett wrote on his X page, urging Pakistan to prevent another crisis by halting the mass deportation of migrants and refugees to Afghanistan.

“I repeat my call on Pakistan to avoid yet another crisis for Afghans by canceling their plans for mass deportations to Afghanistan,” wrote Richard Bennett.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday was the deadline for undocumented migrants to leave Pakistan.

In response to the deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan, Amnesty International stated that this decision must be immediately reversed, and the international community should financially support the country for hosting refugees.

Zabihullah Mujahid, also appealed to Pakistan and other countries not to force Afghan citizens to leave.
