Ministry of Defense Dismisses Pakistan’s Claims, Cites Security Weakness

The Islamic Emirate Ministry of Defense has criticized recent statements made by the Pakistani army spokesperson, Sharif Ahmad Chaudhry.

Kabul 24: Chaudhry reiterated criticism of Afghanistan’s security situation and blamed the country for attacks by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) against Pakistan.

He alleged that a recent attack targeting Chinese citizens in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was organized in Afghanistan and carried out by an Afghan citizen.

Afghanistan Refutes Pakistan’s Allegations

Enayatullah Khwarizmi, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate Ministry of Defense, dismissed the claims as baseless.

Khwarizmi stated that ISIS militants are infiltrating Afghanistan through Pakistan and using Pakistani soil to launch attacks against Afghanistan.

He called for Pakistan to be held accountable for the passage of Daesh (ISIS) from its territory into Afghanistan.

Experts Weigh In on the Tensions

Sadeq Shinwari, a security affairs expert, believes that Pakistan’s statements are part of a new intelligence scenario aimed at destabilizing Afghanistan.

He argues that the claims about attacks by groups like the TTP and ISIS being organized from Afghanistan are mere excuses.

The Need for Diplomatic Solutions

Experts suggest that the ongoing verbal and security tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan are harmful to both nations.

Ajmal Zarmati, an international relations expert, emphasizes the need for diplomatic solutions to address these issues.

He suggests that the current government in Afghanistan needs global and regional legitimacy, and resolving these disputes through dialogue and diplomacy is essential.

Unresolved Security Disputes

Despite efforts, the security disputes between Kabul and Islamabad have remained unresolved for over two years.
