Senior Security Officials Pledge Afghanistan ‘Not a Threat’

Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, the acting Interior Minister, declared on July 25 that no military or terrorist groups, including ISIS, pose a threat to Afghanistan’s Sharia system. He emphasized that groups opposing Sharia are not present within the country, asserting that societal stability is essential under Islamic law.

Kabul 24: Acting Defense Minister Mawlawi Muhammad Yaqoob Mujahid announced that the Afghan government will soon gain control over its airspace, reaffirming their sovereignty akin to land control.

Concerns Over External Threats

Abdul Haq Wasiq, acting Director General of Intelligence, warned that Afghanistan is targeted by destructive elements from neighboring regions. He criticized international organizations for spreading misinformation about terrorist activities in the country, attributing this to regional intelligence efforts aimed at undermining the current government.
