North Korea has issued a stark warning of “total destruction” against its enemies, coinciding with the 71st anniversary of the Korean War armistice.

Kabul 24: This declaration was made during a meeting attended by leader Kim Jong Un and senior military officials, who expressed intense animosity towards the United States and South Korea.

Military Officials’ Statements

During the meeting, Army Colonel Ri Un Ryong and Navy Lieutenant Commander Yu Kyong Song articulated their commitment to an “overwhelming attack” on adversaries, emphasizing their readiness to act immediately upon Kim’s command. They accused the US and South Korea of provoking nuclear conflict, reinforcing their military stance.

Diplomatic Stalemate

Relations between North Korea and the United States remain strained, with no diplomatic ties and stalled negotiations aimed at denuclearization since 2019. North Korea’s state media indicated a lack of optimism regarding future diplomatic changes, regardless of the next US presidential election.
