Types of Mines Cleared
The mines cleared included:
3 anti-personnel mines
56 anti-tank mines
647 unexploded ordnance items
14 explosive devices
Total Mines Cleared Since Project Inception
Kabul 24: Since the start of the Masam Project, a total of 454,688 landmines have been removed from Yemeni territory.
Impact on Civilian Population
These mines were indiscriminately planted across various areas in Yemen with the intent of inflicting harm on innocent civilians, including children, women, and older people.
The clearance of these mines helps eliminate the threats they pose to the Yemeni population and prevents lifelong injuries, disabilities, and tragic loss of life.
