Kabir Addresses Concerns Over Afghan Soil Threats

In a meeting with Veronika Bošković-Pohar, the chargé d’affaires of the European Union to Afghanistan, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, deputy prime minister for political affairs, affirmed that the Islamic Emirate has effectively addressed concerns regarding threats emanating from Afghanistan’s territory. Kabir emphasized the Emirate’s commitment to fostering positive relations globally.
EU’s Role and Support in Afghanistan

Bošković-Pohar highlighted the significance of strengthening ties between the Islamic Emirate and the European Union. She noted that the EU aims to engage in effective activities in Afghanistan where assistance is most needed. Kabir requested EU support in developmental initiatives, drug eradication, alternative agriculture, and job creation.

Political Analysts Weigh In

Political analysts believe that the EU can play a crucial role in addressing Afghanistan’s challenges. Analyst Samim Shamsi remarked that showcasing the Islamic Emirate’s positive initiatives could enhance trust and foster better relations with the EU.

Recent EU Commitment

Earlier, the Ministry of Economy announced a $100 million commitment from the European Union to support humanitarian and development projects in Afghanistan, reflecting ongoing international engagement with the Islamic Emirate.
