Zabihullah Mujahid: Pakistan Should Wait for Our Major Response

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, issued a strong and warning-filled response to Pakistan’s recent airstrike on a drug addiction treatment center in Kabul.

Kabul 24: He stressed that Pakistan must prepare for a “major response” from the Islamic Emirate, adding that the Taliban leadership is in no hurry to deliver this response, but considers it certain and inevitable.

Mujahid stated firmly: “They [the Pakistanis] should wait for our major response.” He explained that due to military confidentiality, the Islamic Emirate cannot disclose details of the planned retaliation, but emphasized that the response will definitely take place.

He described Pakistan’s airstrike as a “major crime” and a clear violation of Afghan airspace and humanitarian principles.

According to the Taliban spokesperson, the attack targeted a civilian drug rehabilitation center, resulting in the deaths and injuries of numerous non-combatants, mainly patients undergoing treatment for addiction.

Mujahid said the Islamic Emirate has used and will continue to use all available means to inform the international community about this “Pakistani crime” so that the world becomes aware of the full extent of the incident.

He completely rejected Pakistan’s claim that the target was a weapons manufacturing facility or military site, calling the allegation “ridiculous” and baseless.

Mujahid reiterated that the actual target was a non-military treatment center. He added: “Pakistan’s goal is to create terror and fear among the Afghan people, but this action will not go unanswered.”The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate stressed that Afghanistan reserves the full right to respond to this aggression and will show no leniency in this matter.

He described the attack as contrary to all humanitarian norms and international principles, labeling it a barbaric act against defenseless patients.

These statements come amid sharply rising tensions between the Taliban government and Pakistan following several recent airstrikes on Afghan soil.

Mujahid issued a threatening warning that Pakistan must accept the consequences of its actions, adding that the Islamic Emirate will not hesitate to defend the sovereignty and security of the Afghan people. In conclusion, Zabihullah Mujahid once again underlined the Islamic Emirate’s firm position on preserving its legitimate rights, stating that any violation of Afghan territory will face an appropriate and decisive response.

These positions reflect the Taliban’s serious determination to confront what they call “Pakistan’s repeated aggressions” and are likely to open a new chapter of border and military tensions between the two neighboring countries.
