Qatari Minister of Education to Trump and Netanyahu: We Don’t Want You to “Liberate” Us – Just Leave Us Alone!

Lolwah bint Rashid Al-Khater, Qatar’s Minister of Education and Higher Education, delivered a sharp and direct message to U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, firmly rejecting any notion of external “liberation” imposed on the Middle East.

kabul 24: In her pointed remarks, she stated: “Stop speaking on our behalf. Do not use us as a pretext for your agendas. We have never asked you to come and ‘liberate’ us.

All we want is to be left alone.”Al-Khater highlighted the long history of foreign interventions and war-mongering in the region, urging: “Please stop fueling wars and igniting conflicts.

This benefits no one—not the people here, not global peace. It is not our fault that you failed in school and received your real education from Hollywood movies. The world is not a movie set, nor is it a Call of Duty video game.

These are real human souls with lives, families, dreams, and dignity.”With a blend of sarcasm and gravity, she criticized attempts to impose Western models or so-called “liberation” through military and political means. Such approaches, she argued, have only brought destruction, displacement, suffering, and endless tragedy to the region rather than freedom or progress.

The Qatari minister stressed that the peoples of the Middle East possess their own will, culture, history, and identity they do not need external saviors or hero narratives forced upon them. Her comments come amid renewed debates over U.S. and Israeli policies in the region, particularly following recent political and military developments.

Al-Khater’s clear message calls for respect toward the sovereignty and independence of Middle Eastern nations, warning that continued interventionist policies will only deepen tensions and instability.

She concluded by asserting that genuine peace can only emerge when major powers abandon the role of self-appointed liberators and instead adopt a policy of non-interference, honoring the genuine wishes and aspirations of the region’s people.

This statement echoes a widely shared sentiment across many Arab and Muslim countries, tired of repeated cycles of painful past experiences and demanding an end to foreign meddling and perpetual warfare.
