A suicide attack in northwest Pakistan killed 4 security personnel

A suicide attack at a checkpoint in northwest Pakistan has resulted in the deaths of four security personnel and left five others critically injured.

Kabul 24: The incident occurred in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, on Saturday. Police officer Amjad Khanand reported that the injured individuals are in critical condition.

Suspected Perpetrators

While no group has claimed responsibility yet, authorities suspect the Pakistani Taliban, known for targeting security forces in this region, may be involved5.

Government Response

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack and extended condolences to the victims’ families.

Related Incident

In a separate event, a remote-controlled bomb targeted a military convoy in Tank district, also in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but no casualties were reported5.
