Sources in Khost province have reported a mysterious murder of a woman in Ismaiel-Khel, Mandozai district, on Friday, October 27th.
Kabul 24: The victim, a 50-year-old woman, succumbed to fatal knife wounds, according to local authorities.
Taliban security officials in the province have confirmed the incident via a press release. They stated that the woman’s son has been detained on charges of murdering his mother and is currently under interrogation.
The motive behind this tragic event remains unclear at this time.
This incident adds to the alarming rise in female homicides across the country.
Not long ago, two women were also mysteriously murdered in the Faryab and Jawzjan provinces.
