Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy prime minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), emphasized Qatar’s significant role in the IEA’s foreign policy during a meeting on Sunday.
Kabul 24: Abdul Kabir expressed Kabul’s interest in enhancing bilateral relations with Qatar across various sectors, including economic, political, educational, industrial, and investment fields. He referred to Qatar as a “friendly country” and welcomed the upcoming Doha meeting regarding Afghanistan.
Commitment to Humanitarian Aid
Mirdef Alqashouti, advisor to the Qatar Embassy in Kabul, pledged to facilitate direct flights between Kabul and Doha. He assured the IEA of Qatar’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to Afghans and its desire to expand cooperation in multiple areas.
Support for Palestine
In addition, Abdul Kabir praised Qatar’s stance on Palestine, reiterating the IEA’s call for an independent Palestinian state.
