The Acting Minister of Higher Education, Neda Mohammad Nadim, stated that Afghanistan, as an independent country, conducts all its internal and external affairs based on Islamic and cultural values.
Kabul 24: Nadim made these remarks during a meeting with the Uzbek Ambassador in Kabul, where they discussed the expansion of academic and cultural relations between the two countries.
Cooperation with Uzbekistan in Higher Education
Ziaullah Hashemi, the spokesperson for the ministry, mentioned that Nadim added that Uzbekistan is among the countries that cooperate with Afghanistan in various fields, especially higher education.
The Uzbek Ambassador invited the Acting Minister of Higher Education to visit Uzbekistan and see the country’s scientific and cultural centers.
Professors Emphasize Importance of Academic Cooperation
Some university professors also consider the expansion of cooperation in the field of higher education between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan important.
Naqibullah Noori, a university professor, said: “Diplomatic relations, especially those that are academic and scientific, are beneficial for both countries and can be helpful for students who want to pursue scholarships in neighboring and friendly countries.”
Requests for More Scholarships from China
Previously, the Acting Minister of Higher Education had requested China to provide more scholarships for Afghan students.
