Afghanistan is the focus of the talks between the officials of Iran and Tajikistan

Iranian officials have announced that they have discussed with Tajikistan about the fight against narcotics in Afghanistan.

Kabul 24: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf; The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament announced on Friday, 20 Mizan, that during his visit to Tajikistan, he discussed Afghanistan, the fight against drugs and arms trafficking.

Ghalibaf had gone to Dushanbe to attend the international parliamentary meeting and had a separate meeting with the president of Tajikistan.

After returning from Tajikistan, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament told reporters in Tehran: “Important issues such as ensuring stability and security in Afghanistan, the fight against drugs and arms trafficking in Tajikistan were discussed.”

He said: “Since Iran and Tajikistan are neighboring countries of Afghanistan, there is a need for dialogue and coordination between the two countries.”
