An explosion at a train station in Quetta, Pakistan left 61 dead and injured

A suicide attack at a railway station in the city of Quetta, located in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan, killed 21 people and injured more than 40 others.

Kabul 24: According to Geo News, the railway authorities announced that the train was supposed to leave for Peshawar at 9 am.

A senior police officer of Quetta city told news channels that this terrorist incident took place in the form of a suicide attempt.

Sama News quoted hospital and police officials of Quetta city and announced: 22 people have been killed in this terrorist incident and at least 18 others have been injured.

Some other Pakistani news channels announced that 18 people were killed in the Quetta explosion and the condition of some of the injured is critical, therefore there is a possibility that the number of victims will increase.

This train had not yet arrived at the platform. The explosion happened before the departure of the train, and when the explosion happened, people were behind the tekt stall.

Police surgeon Dr. Ayesha Faiz has confirmed the death of 21 passengers, including a woman.

According to news sources, all the injured have been taken to the hospital.

The police also announced that the police and rescue teams have been sent to the place of the explosion.

On the other hand, Sarfraz Bugti, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, ordered to contact the high administrative authorities and investigate this incident.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the bomb explosion in Quetta city station. Pakistani authorities typically blame insurgents affiliated with separatist groups for carrying out such attacks.
