Attack Energy FC, the pride of Herat, has clinched the Afghanistan Champions League (ACL) trophy for the second season in a row after an impressive run of 11 consecutive wins. In the final match on Wednesday, they defeated Adalat Farah FC 2-0 to cap off their dominant performance throughout the tournament.

Kabul 24: The Herat-based club’s attacking prowess was on full display, as they amassed a total of 41 goals in the tournament. However, their success was not limited to their offensive firepower.

Third Season of ACL Proves Hugely Popular Among Football Fans
The Afghanistan Champions League, now in its third season, has once again captured the hearts of football enthusiasts across the country. All matches were broadcast live and exclusively on Ariana Television, allowing fans to follow the action from the comfort of their homes.
12 Teams Compete in 66 Matches Over 33 Days
A total of 12 teams participated in this year’s ACL, which kicked off on April 20 and concluded on May 22. The matches were played at the Afghanistan Football Federation Stadium in Kabul and were sponsored by Victor Energy Drink. The tournament featured players from different regions of Afghanistan, as well as foreign players from Iran, Pakistan, and Nigeria.
Individual Awards Presented to Outstanding Players and Coach
Several individual awards were presented at the end of the tournament:
Ahmad Nabi Muqdaz of Aino Mina FC was the top scorer, although he was unable to collect his award in person.
Hamid Amiri from Sarkh Poshan Khafi won the best player award.
Faisal Hamidi of Attack Energy FC received the golden glove and best goalkeeper award, keeping 11 clean sheets and an unbeaten season.
Esmat Hadafmand of Mawj Sahil FC won the young talent award.
Ali Ahmad Yarzadeh, the head coach of Attack Energy FC, was recognized as the best head coach and the record holder of an unbeaten championship in the Afghanistan Champions League.
