Chinese President: We will continue to play a constructive role in dealing with issues related to Afghanista

Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China will continue to play a constructive role in addressing issues related to Afghanistan. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to promoting peace and stated that Beijing will continue to play a constructive role in resolving the Ukraine crisis, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and issues related to the Korean Peninsula, Iran, Myanmar, and Afghanistan.
China’s Stance on Afghanistan

Kabul 24: Although China, like other countries, does not recognize the Taliban, it maintains economic and diplomatic relations with the group and has handed over the Afghan embassy in Beijing to the Taliban. China’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong, emphasized the importance of the international community respecting “the culture of the Afghans” and their “approach to handling internal affairs”, advising against “imposing external solutions to resolve Afghanistan’s issues”.

Reactions from Afghanistan

The Islamic Emirate welcomed the Chinese President’s stance, stating that maintaining stability and peace in Afghanistan is important for the relationship between the two countries.

Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said Afghanistan wants to have good relations with China as a neighboring country and an important economic power in the region.
