Exchanges of 700 million dollars between Afghanistan and Central Asia

The Ministry of Industry and Trade says that in the first five months of this solar year, Afghanistan has traded with the countries of Central Asia worth nearly 700 million dollars.

Kabul 24: Akhundzadeh Abdulsalam Javad, the spokesman of this ministry, adds that about 60 million dollars have been exported and this ministry is trying to increase the amount of exports to Central Asian countries.

After the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, more attention has been paid to the expansion of Afghanistan’s trade relations with Central Asian countries.

The meetings and negotiations of the representatives of the Islamic Emirate with the representatives of the Central Asian countries and the holding of joint exhibitions have helped in the development of trade between Afghanistan and these countries.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated: “Afghanistan’s trade with Central Asian countries in the first five months of 1403 was normal, which was worth 684 million dollars, including 60 million dollars of exports and 624 million dollars of imports.”

The Chamber of Commerce and Investment has also emphasized the need to facilitate trade and transit with Central Asian countries.

Jan Agha Navid, the spokesman of the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: “Our relations with different countries of the world, including the countries of the region, are expanding. “Our exports are increasing and imports from different countries continue.”

Sakhi Ahmad Peyman, the first deputy of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, added: “We mostly import petroleum products from Central Asian countries and our exports are industrial goods. “I hope that the balance between our exports and imports with Central Asian countries will reach such a level that this region will become a good market for Afghanistan’s manufactured goods.”

According to the information of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Afghanistan has an annual trade of about ten billion dollars, of which two billion dollars are exported and eight billion dollars are imported from other countries.
