Officials from the Taliban’s security command in Kunduz have reported a fire incident in the goldsmith sector of the province.
Kabul 24: Joma-Din Khaksar, the spokesperson for the Taliban’s security command in Kunduz, has stated that the fire occurred around 6:20 on Saturday night, November 18, in one of the goldsmith shops in the province.
According to him, this incident resulted from a power surge, leading to three goldsmith shops catching fire.
Khaksar added that the fire has been brought under control by the firefighting team, but the financial damages from this event are not yet clear.
This incident follows a fire that broke out about 20 days ago in a wood market named “Haji Rahmatullah” in Kunduz.
The fire spread to surrounding buildings, including a private health center and a branch of Pashtanai Bank, resulting in over $400,000 in financial losses
