Four Million Mothers and Children Suffer from Malnutrition in Afghanistan

The World Food Programme recently underscored the imperative for countries to aid the people of Afghanistan, revealing that four million children and mothers in the country are grappling with malnutrition.

On Friday, November 10th, the World Food Programme released these alarming statistics.

Kabul 24: Simultaneously, with French support for the treatment of malnourished patients, this organization published the figures.

The World Food Programme highlighted that the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France has generously contributed 2.7 million euros to Afghanistan.

According to the organization, this aid is designated to be invested nationwide to prevent and treat malnutrition.

Commending this initiative, the World Food Programme has consistently urged countries to support the organization’s mission.

Previously, the organization had voiced concerns about budget constraints affecting its ability to assist the people of Afghanistan. Due to a lack of funds, at least eight million tons were removed from the list of aid recipients in the country.
