Hundreds of people in Afghanistan’s Herat and Balkh provinces held separate gatherings to condemn the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, calling for an end to the violence and urging Islamic nations to take action against Israel’s aggression.
Protests in Herat
Kabul 24: In Herat, protesters gathered at a mosque, denouncing the killing of civilians in Palestine as a crime against humanity. Acting Deputy Governor Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi emphasized the need for unity among Islamic countries to support Palestinians.
Mohammad Noor Rahmani, a local preacher, criticized neighboring Arab nations for closing their borders to Palestinians, while madrasa teacher Enayatullah Talib expressed readiness among Afghans to support Palestine through jihad.
Demonstrations in Balkh
In Mazar-e-Sharif, hundreds chanted anti-Israel slogans, demanding an end to the aggression. Zabihullah Noorani, head of Information and Culture in Balkh, questioned the UN Security Council‘s inaction amid the crisis.
As the conflict continues, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reports nearly 40,000 deaths and over 90,000 injuries, with many victims being women and children
