The Ministry of Public Health reports that about 200 positive cases of AIDS have been registered in the country.

Kabul 24: Sharafat Zaman Amarkhil, the spokesperson of the ministry, says that there are eight treatment centers and 61 AIDS diagnosis centers across the country.

Mr. Amarkhel said: “This year, among the 200 positive cases registered with us, one of the reasons is that there were no treatment centers in some areas. Now these patients have been taken care of and more services have been provided to the people.”

At the same time, the head of the AIDS treatment department of the Afghan-Japan infectious diseases hospital says that 1555 patients have been registered with them, of which 116 patients have been registered since the beginning of the year.

Mohammad Khan Hedayat also asked the doctors and health aid institutions to cooperate with them in treating other diseases of those suffering from this disease.
