Japan’s Icom, a leading manufacturer of wireless communication equipment, has stated that it is highly unlikely that the wireless devices involved in recent explosions in Lebanon were their products.

Kabul 24: The explosions occurred on Wednesday across Lebanon’s south, involving hand-held radios used by the armed group Hezbollah. Pictures of the walkie-talkies showed labels reading “ICOM” and “made in Japan”.
Icom Investigating Potential Misuse of Its Logo
In response to the incidents, Icom has launched an investigation into the matter, stating that “chances are extremely low that the wireless devices that exploded were our products” based on the information revealed so far.
The company emphasized that it takes the situation seriously and is working to determine if its logo has been misused on unauthorized products.
