Mujahid: Effective Counter-Narcotics Measures Taken

Islamic Emirate Reports 97% Reduction in Poppy Cultivation and Drug Production

The Islamic Emirate has reported a significant decrease in poppy cultivation and drug production in Afghanistan, with a 97% reduction. Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, attributed this success to the serious efforts made following the decree from the leader of the Islamic Emirate to ban the cultivation of narcotics.

Mujahid Pledges to Prevent Narcotics Smuggling

Mujahid assured that narcotics will not be smuggled from Afghanistan to other countries and that there is no need for other nations to be concerned.

He stated that effective measures have been taken against narcotics cultivation, and if a small percentage of cultivation remains, it is likely in places where people have built inside gardens or in remote mountainous areas.

Military Analysts Urge Complete Halt in Narcotics Sale and Smuggling

Some military analysts, such as Mohammad Mateen Mohammadkhil, have urged the interim government to completely halt the sale of narcotics within the country and their smuggling abroad.

Mohammadkhil confirmed that the production of narcotics is prohibited in Afghanistan and that poppy cultivation has reached zero, as noted by the United Nations.

International Concerns Persist Despite Efforts

Despite the Islamic Emirate’s efforts and the leader’s decree banning poppy cultivation and narcotics production throughout the country, some countries and various organizations still express concerns about narcotics smuggling from Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate remains committed to addressing these concerns and ensuring that Afghanistan is no longer a source of illicit drugs.
