Kabul 24: The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced that Nuruddin Azizi; The head of this ministry has traveled to Türkiye to participate in the opening of the 2024 Istanbul International Halal Exhibition.
This exhibition is going to be held in the city of Istanbul from 6-9 months of Sagittarius.
In this exhibition, 30 members of Afghanistan’s private sector will display their products and productions in the fields of carpets, precious and semi-precious stones, dry fruits and banking in 8 booths.
Meanwhile, Nuruddin Azizi said that he wants to create a commercial corridor through Türkiye to European markets.
The Minister of Trade said that he is participating in this exhibition based on the “official invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye”.
Azizi called Turkey the gateway to Europe and said: “Afghan products, especially carpets, have a good market.” “We want to create a corridor through Türkiye to the European market.”
In 2018, the previous government of Afghanistan signed an agreement to establish an air corridor with Europe, China, Russia and India.
The purpose of this agreement was to increase the volume of Afghanistan’s exports to the aforementioned countries.
According to Turkish media, more than 30,000 people, including 9,000 visitors from 110 countries, are expected to attend this exhibition.
This is the 10th year that the “Halal” international exhibition is held and it is one of the important exhibitions and meetings of the halal products market in the world.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that the volume of Afghanistan’s trade with Türkiye has reached 94 million dollars in the last ten months. Abdul Salam Javad, the spokesman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in explaining these figures, said that 21 million dollars were exported and 73 million dollars were imported.
