Ocha: The earthquake victims in Herat need food

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on World Food Day that tens of thousands of people in western Afghanistan who were affected by the earthquake are in need of aid and food.

According to Kabul 24; Ocha Rooz (Monday, 24 Mizan) wrote on his user page on X that the World Food Day has arrived while several earthquakes have recently shaken western Afghanistan.

According to Ocha, more than 43,335 people in the west of the country were affected by the earthquake.

The office added that aid agencies are providing mixed food and nutritional supplements throughout the affected areas.

Monday is World Food Day.

On the occasion of this day, the World Food Program wrote on its X user page: “On World Food Day, we remind the world that in Afghanistan, 15 million people do not know where their next meal will come from.” It means 1/3 of the population.”
