Preparations for TAPI Project Near Completion

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi announced that preparations for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project have reached the final stage, with practical work set to begin soon.

Kabul 24: Muttaqi emphasized that the TAPI project, capable of transferring 33 billion cubic meters of gas annually, will not only bolster Afghanistan’s economy but also enhance its political standing in the region. The project’s estimated cost is $10 billion, with expected annual revenues of $450 million for Afghanistan.

Additional Collaborative Projects

In addition to TAPI, preparations are underway for other joint initiatives, including the Afghan-Turkmen economic corridor and a fiber optics project, further strengthening ties between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan.
