Russian Athletes in Kabul for Three-Day Badminton Tournament

A four-member Russian badminton team, consisting of three athletes and a coach, has arrived in Kabul to compete in a tournament starting Sunday. This event highlights international sports collaboration amidst regional challenges.

Kabul 24: The tournament, organized by the National Badminton Federation in conjunction with the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports, will see participation from 24 athletes representing Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Russia. Matches will be held over three days at a gymnasium with a capacity of 2,500.

One of the Russian athletes expressed excitement about their first visit to Afghanistan, noting the warm reception and beautiful surroundings.
