A Tajik official says that the humanitarian aid convoy of that country to the victims of the earthquake in Herat has entered Afghanistan and will reach that province soon.
According to Kabul 24; Sahibjan Ziaullah, the person responsible for the aid sent by Tajikistan to the victims of the Herat earthquake, told the media that the aid arrived in Afghanistan today (Wednesday, 26 Mizan) through Shir Khan Bandar, Kunduz Province.
He added that these donations include food, blankets, bedding, drinking water, kitchen utensils, fuel and construction materials, the value of which is 17 million somanis, equivalent to one and a half million dollars.
This Tajik official said that these aids are given to the victims of the Herat earthquake by the order of Imam Ali Rahman, the president of that country.
After the devastating earthquakes in Herat province, many countries have announced that they will send emergency and humanitarian aid to the victims.
Previously, Iran, Turkey, China, Kazakhstan, the European Union and a number of other countries have sent humanitarian aid to the victims of the Herat earthquake.
Surveys show that earthquake victims need shelter and warm clothes due to the coming of the cold season.
However, the government has announced that it has started building houses for the victims.
