Media sources have reported the occurrence of renewed clashes between Shias and Sunnis in Parachenar, Pakistan, and say that at least 35 people have been killed and injured in this incident.
Kabul 24: Local sources reported today, Monday, 2nd of May, from Karam Agency district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan that at least 10 people were killed and 25 others were injured in a sectarian conflict in Parachenar city.
According to the sources, the conflict on the ground between the Sunni and Shiite tribes started two days ago and is still going on.
Sources from Karam region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said today that both sides are using light and heavy weapons in this conflict and the communication routes of Parachenar with the outside are completely blocked.
According to the sources, the talks between the two sides to establish a ceasefire ended without results and the Pakistani government has been unable to control this conflict.
The people of Parachenar complain about the indifference of the Pakistani government and say that there is no responsible institution to contain and end this conflict and that the government institutions are all watching this conflict.
The conflict between Shia and Sunni tribes in Parachinar, Pakistan has a long history.
Earlier in the month of Asad this year, a conflict between Sunni and Shiite tribes took place on the ground.
In these clashes that lasted for seven days, 49 people were killed and more than 200 people were injured. Most of the victims were Shiite civilians.
