Trump Permanently Bans Immigration from All “Third-World Countries”

On November 27, 2025, President Donald Trump announced in a fiery Truth Social post that he is permanently banning immigration from every “third-world country” to the United States.

Kabul 24: He described the move as “absolutely necessary to fully rebuild and restore the American system.”The announcement came just hours after a deadly shooting in Washington, D.C., in which an Afghan national who had recently received asylum opened fire on National Guard troops, killing 20-year-old Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and critically wounding Sergeant Andrew Wolfe.

Trump wrote: “We have made incredible strides in technology, but stupid immigration policies have eroded our gains and made life worse for millions. Immigration from ALL third-world countries will be PERMANENTLY STOPPED so America can be completely rebuilt.”

He added that any immigrant who is not a “net positive” to the country will be deported, and all government benefits and subsidies for non-citizens will be immediately terminated.Within hours, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) suspended all pending applications from Afghan nationals and launched a comprehensive review of every green card issued to citizens of 19 “countries of concern.”Supporters hailed the decision as bold and long overdue, arguing that mass immigration from developing nations has strained infrastructure, depressed wages, overburdened schools and hospitals, and posed growing security risks.

Critics, including Democratic leaders and human-rights organizations, condemned it as racist, inhumane, and a violation of America’s founding principles.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi called it “a return to the darkest chapters of segregation and exclusion.”Economists warn the blanket ban could trigger labor shortages in agriculture, construction, hospitality, and health care, while Trump insists prioritizing American workers will raise wages and restore economic strength.

Legal battles are certain, but with Republican majorities in Congress and a conservative Supreme Court, the administration is expected to prevail on most challenges.

Declaring victory, Trump wrote: “I promised the American people I would put America First. This is that promise delivered. We will Make America Great Again – without the third world.”
