Two Men Killed in Personal Disputes in Kandahar and Herat
Local sources from the provinces of Kandahar and Herat have reported the deaths of two individuals due to personal disputes.
In Herat, a prominent tribal elder named Pahlawan Abdul Rahim Alkozai was killed on Tuesday night, October 24th, in what is being described as an “accidental” shooting involving his son in the province’s center.
Sources indicate that the elder was attempting to mediate between his son and another individual during an armed altercation, tragically resulting in his own death.
Simultaneously, reports from Kandahar state that a young man was fatally shot following a verbal dispute in the village of Chenarak in the Ghorak district, also on Tuesday, October 24th.
The Taliban in Kandahar confirmed the incident and announced the arrest of one individual linked to the killing of the young man.
It is noteworthy that various parts of the country have witnessed a surge in criminal activities and domestic violence in recent months.
Experts attribute this rise to factors such as unemployment and the widespread prevalence of poverty.
