UK Seeks to Enhance Diplomatic Relations with Islamic Emirate

Robert Chatterton Dickson, the UK Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan, is actively working to strengthen political ties between Kabul and London. In a meeting with Mawlawi Zakir, head of the political deputy PM’s office, Dickson emphasized the UK’s commitment to fostering positive engagement with the Islamic Emirate.

Kabul 24: Dickson highlighted the significance of recent diplomatic meetings in Doha, noting that they clarified various issues and addressed concerns. Political analyst Edris Mohammadi Zazai remarked that the UK could play a pivotal role in aligning Afghanistan’s international relations.

Mawlawi Zakir reiterated that establishing positive global relations is a priority for the Islamic Emirate. He criticized existing restrictions, stating they harm the Afghan populace and called for the implementation of commitments made during the Doha meetings, particularly regarding alternative livelihoods and humanitarian aid.
