US Ship Docks in Cyprus Amid Rising Tensions

Kabul 24: US Ambassador to Cyprus, Julie Fisher, noted that the ship could assist civilians if hostilities escalate. Cyprus has expressed its willingness to facilitate the evacuation of Europeans and third-country nationals if necessary.

Cyprus’ Stance on Military Involvement

Despite the ship’s presence, Cyprus maintains that it is not engaged in any military operations. Government spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis emphasized the island’s commitment to humanitarian assistance, stating, “Humanitarian assistance is what we do”
