While pointing to Tashkent’s support for the establishment of continuous dialogues at the ministerial level, he stated that Afghanistan should be given the opportunity to play a role in regional processes.
These statements are made while Uzbekistan has had several meetings with representatives of the European Union and the United Nations regarding Afghanistan in recent days.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said in a statement that this meeting was aimed at showing Tashkent’s commitment to help Afghanistan and stability and development in this country with the cooperation of international institutions.
Not long ago, Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan had met with Terhi Hakala, the European Union’s special representative for Central Asia.
In this meeting, the parties discussed the current situation and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and Europe in the direction of Afghanistan, the efforts of the international community to prevent the humanitarian crisis in the country and the possibility of using the international transportation and logistics center in Tamerez.
