Vice-Virtue Ministry Announces Major Strides in Women’s Rights

The Ministry of Vice and Virtue in Afghanistan has reported significant progress in addressing women’s rights and issues over the past year. During a press conference, officials highlighted key achievements:

Resolving Complaints and Preventing Violence

Kabul 24: Over 5,000 out of nearly 10,000 registered complaints have been effectively addressed

More than 300 cases of forced marriages and nearly 300 cases of women being sold have been prevented

Securing Inheritance Rights

In over 700 cases, women deprived of inheritance rights were able to benefit from their rightful inheritance

4,500 women’s inheritance cases have been handled by the ministry

Transforming Enmities and Punishing Immoral Activities

More than 1,000 enmities have been transformed into friendships through the ministry’s mediation

Over 13,000 individuals involved in immoral activities were punished as a corrective measure

Nearly 1,000 amulet-makers and sorcerers were arrested and handed over to judicial authorities

Reforming Media and Removing Underage Individuals

90% of visual, auditory, and print media broadcasts have been reformed

Nearly 300 underage individuals have been removed from the ranks of the Islamic Emirate

The ministry officials emphasized their commitment to ensuring women’s Islamic rights are upheld with the cooperation of the people.
