Wheat export from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan and Pakistan via Turkmenistan

Kazakhstan is set to enhance its grain exports to Afghanistan and Pakistan via the Beineu grain terminal, leveraging Turkmenistan as a key transit route.

Wheat Export Plans

Kazakhstan will export wheat through the Beineu terminal, with plans to construct additional storage facilities and logistics routes in border areas. This terminal, spanning 26 hectares in the Mangistau region, has direct access to the Kazakh-Turkmen border and can handle significant grain volumes.

Recent Diplomatic Engagements

Delegations from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, alongside Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, recently visited the terminal to discuss establishing a stable export corridor for Kazakh wheat.

Trade Volume Goals

Zhumangarin aims to triple trade with Afghanistan from $1 billion to $3 billion annually, focusing on increasing flour and wheat exports. Additionally, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are collaborating on a logistics center in Herat to enhance regional trade capabilitie
